It’s not easy making big changes, even when we want to. Even when we know what’s to come will make us a better person and ultimately happier. 

It might not be the change itself that deters us, rather the process required to do the things we need to do to reach our goals. 

There are often so many things to think about when making a change: the sequence of events, who it will affect long and short term, how it will affect them, and of course, the surprises that come up along the way. 

It can be easy to become discouraged, overwhelmed, or think, “Eeh, I’m tired, and my life is good enough…” and stop trying. 

Whatever positive change you have been thinking about making, whether building a new habit like going to bed earlier or mustering the courage to ask for a raise, I encourage you to take that first step. Right now.
